A passing grade within the top 20% of the class is required.If there are fewer than 4 students in the class, only the top-ranked student will be considered as having passed.

3.Students who publish a first-author (or co-first-author) paper within their first three years of study may waive the qualification exam, subject to approval by the program committee.However, the paper used for the waiver cannot be part of the graduation thesis.
